Moneglia can count in its history some very important figures, whose fame is recognized worldwide: Luca Cambiaso, one of the great Italian Renaissance Painters was born in Moneglia in 1527.

Felice Romani, the librettist and poet, author of Norma, Bellini’s refined musical verses, also lived and died in Moneglia in 1865.
